Sea Caves

Sitting on the west of Coral Bay is a lovely stretch of coastline with a rugged feel, which is fast becoming the "posh" part of the west of Cyprus. With some incredible new villa homes set amongst more modest villas for rental, the Sea Caves area is for the discerning holidaymaker who wants to breathe the fresh clean sea air and view the mountains, enjoying the peace of being away from the crowd. With little in the way of tavernas and no shops, this area is a peaceful retreat which is only accessed with private transport.

There are lovely walks along the tops of the caves where you can enjoy the gentle "rush" of the sea against the rock - and even spot a character or two hidden in the etched rockfaces eaten away by the sea! The fitter travellers can enjoy a climb down to the caves, many of which allow walks from one end to the other; lit by the soft shaded sunlight and cushioned with shallow, warm seas.

A great place to take a picnic and while away the hours, tourists to Sea Caves near Coral Bay can  always find a quiet spot, well away from other tourists, where you can sit privately and simply take in the stunning views of the endless sea.

Birdwatching is also popular on this stretch of Coral Bay: twitchers travel from many other parts of the island to spot rare birds who are on their way to and from the nearby Akamas Peninsular.
